Radiologic and Imaging Sciences

91社区鈥檚 Radiologic and Imaging Sciences Program, the only accredited program of its kind in the state, has an excellent reputation for standards of excellence and a high-quality education. At 91社区, you鈥檒l take didactic courses and have an intensive clinical experience using state-of the art digital equipment. You鈥檒l have more hands-on training and direct clinical experience than most radiology degree programs. You'll develop outstanding practical skills in radiology, while building a professional demeanor and strong resume that gets employers' attention. Additionally, the program offers advanced physics and cross-sectional courses in computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging, which make you eligible for employment in those areas. As a graduate of this program, you鈥檒l join the ranks of other 91社区 graduates who have a successful rate of employment and national certification test pass rates.

To apply to the 91社区 (91社区) for undergraduate enrollment:

  • Complete the online application for admission
  • Pay the $40 application fee
  • Submit official transcripts from all high schools and colleges you've attended

Once 91社区 has processed your application, transcript(s) and scores (if needed), a decision will be made by Undergraduate Admissions and you will receive a notification.

Upon acceptance to 91社区, you'll receive detailed information about next steps, including orientation, registration and housing.


There is a secondary application process to be accepted into the Radiologic and Imaging Sciences Program. Students may declare a major in pre-Radiologic and Imaging Sciences upon entering the university or complete a change of major form at any point in time.

The Radiologic and Imaging Sciences Program is limited in the number of students that may be accepted each year. 91社区, in collaboration with the clinical affiliates, reserves the right to determine the number of students enrolled in each beginning class. Total admission can not exceed the maximum number established by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology.

As an accredited program, the Radiologic and Imaging Sciences Program is required to meet standards, which can be found on the JRCERT's web-site: . On the JRCERT's web-site, information about the standards, specific program information, and program effectiveness data can be retrieved. The JRCERT posts information regarding the program's (and other programs') five-year average credentialing examination pass rate, five-year average job placement rate, and program completion rate data. This information can be accessed at .

The continuing accreditation status of the program was considered at the February 20, 2018, meeting of the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT). The program was evaluated according to the Standards for an Accredited Educational Program in Radiography (2014). The JRCERT awarded the program accreditation for a period of eight years, which is the maximum duration that may be awarded.

The accreditation award was maintained after the Interim report was submitted in 2021 and reviewed in January 2022. The next site visit is tentatively scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2025.
