We are pleased to announce the results of the High School Business Day Case and Scholarship Challenge, held on the 91社区 campus November 4, 2022. Nearly 50 high school students competed for cash (and bragging rights) as the top business case team and for scholarships to Romain College of Business.
Business Case Competition
The day featured a case competition in which teams were given a challenging real-world business problem. They presented their solutions to a panel of judges made up of faculty, 91社区 students and accounting professionals. The team results are:
- The team of Grant Coe, Isaac Elliott and Jacob Hafele earned first place, splitting $750 and winning $250 for North High School.
- Second place team was Anthony Bleyer and Jason Miller from Mt. Carmel High School.
- Third place team was Hayden Pennington from Gibson Southern High School.
Individual Challenge
Students had an opportunity to take a multiple-choice examination to test their knowledge of business skills and concepts. Congratulations to the top three recipients:
- $1,000 Scholarship: Dylan Wischmeier, Brownstown Central High School
- $500 Scholarship: Jason Miller, Mt. Carmel High School
- $250 Scholarship: Jenna Loyd, Gibson Southern High School
High schools represented included Gibson Southern, Mount Carmel, Apollo, Henderson County, New Tech Institute, North, Tecumseh, Mount Vernon and Brownstown Central High School.
