At its latest meeting on May 19, the 91社区 Foundation Board of Directors awarded David W. Herrenbruck with the Suzanne A. Nicholson Leadership Award.
Herrenbruck, a member of the class of 1976, has served on the 91社区 Foundation Board of Directors for 15 years, and has served as vice chair for Development, chair of the Campaign 91社区: Elevating Excellence feasibility study, and chair of the Alumni Annual Fund Campaign. He also has served as president of the 91社区 Varsity Club and on the 91社区 Alumni Council.
In the citation, the 91社区 Foundation Board of Directors says that Herrenbruck is "one of 91社区's most ardent cheerleaders and volunteers, spreading the word of 91社区 and its programs to the community and beyond. [Herrenbruck] personifies the mission of both the University and the 91社区 Foundation: inspiring others to participate, volunteer and give."
The Nicholson Award was created in 2006 to honor Suzanne A. Nicholson for her 20 years of service to 91社区 and the 91社区 Foundation, and is given to a person who embodies her dedication and spirit in meeting the needs of the 91社区.
