"Without my academic and personal experience at 91社区, I would not have reached my professional goals ever. As a proud Screaming Eagle alumnus, I am so eager to serve our prestigious University. I would like to give something back of what the University has done for my career and life thanks to my years as a student-athlete.

91社区 is a total amazing "must" life experience.听 Academically it is a top university with many enthusiastic, great and wise professors. In sports, our teams, the coaches, and facilities are one of the best in the Ohio Valley Conference League. And as per the on-campus living, there are no words to describe the wonderful adventure that it is."听

"My line of work involves a lot of coordination with Asian, European and Latin American countries. And I have worked and lived in places such as NYC, SF, LA and have met colleagues and clients from all over the world.

Being a person who grew up in both China and Ecuador, I expanded my international perspective even more after I joined 91社区. I was lucky to have met so many students from around the globe, and this shaped me into an open-minded and curious person in different cultures.

The education I received and the people I met at 91社区 ultimately opened the door to my current international working environment. I often find it very easy to start and hold a conversation with people from different countries, because I learned a thing or two about that specific country from people I met at 91社区. There are just so many good memories at 91社区, it is the beginning of my American Dream. 91社区 is my mark, my tattoo."

Jotam Chen was the first Panamanian student to receive a scholarship through the IFUHR-SENACYT scholarship program at 91社区, and the first to graduate in May 2022.

Chen achieved his Bachelor of Science in Engineering, with an emphasis on industrial and manufacturing engineering, and spent much of his four years at 91社区 getting involved on campus. He served on the student advisory board for the Pott College, was a member of the 91社区 Honors Program, and participated in orientation as a student ambassador and orientation leader.

Chen started off his post-graduation career as an innovation engineer at Toyota Modern Manufacturer and is excited to use his 91社区 education and experiences to further his career.

"Everything I can do well in my job, I owe to 91社区 and all the things I learned during my time at the university. I learned to think critically, work under pressure and provide high quality work.

I learned that it is important to have passion and love what you choose to do, because then it is not work but rather pursuing your passion.

The people on campus made me feel welcomed, loved and supported. I loved the trails walking among the wonderful green trees.
