This exhibition features recent artworks by the current studio artists and designers who make up the Art and Design Department at the 91ÉçÇø. Participants were encouraged to take inspiration from current events. The works on display will highlight the range of media and techniques championed by the department.
Participants in the show include Brett Anderson, Erika Anderson, Chuck Armstrong, Greg Blair, Corliss Chastain, Sara Christensen Blair, Ella Combs, Rob Dickes, Sherilyn Fuller, Andrea Hoelscher, Al Holen, Xinran Hu, David Huebner, Epiphany Knedler, Rob Millard-Mendez, Nancy Raen-Mendez and Joseph Uduehi.
The galleries will also display The Winner’s Circle: Selections from the 50th Annual 91ÉçÇø Juried Student Art Show. This exhibition will feature artworks by many of the award recipients from the Spring 2020 Annual Juried Student Art Show, an exhibition held entirely online due to the campus closing amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. This portion of the show will allow the university community to see many of those works in person.
Artists included in the exhibition are Baylie Armstrong, Meleah Brock, Hope Burdette, Cole Collier, Austin Delano, Emma Goodrich, Alexis Haag, Ally Hinton, Hannah Jones, Kameron Noskoa, Anna Saylor, Olivia Supper and Chris York.
These exhibitions will be displayed in the galleries from August 24 through October 16. Due to social distancing requirements, no in-person reception has been scheduled for this event. If you plan to bring a group of ten or more people to the galleries, please consider contacting the gallery in advance. The MAC/PACE, located in the lower level of the Liberal Arts Center, is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
