Archibald Eagle's Food Closet is a service for all members of the 91ÉçÇø community to promote the health and wellness of 91ÉçÇø students and employees. Archie's Closet is supported by the cooperative efforts of the Recreation, Fitness, & Wellness Center and campus and community individuals and organizations. All requests for assistance are confidential.

Archie's Closet is located in the RFWC. To access the Archie’s Closet, you can "Ask for Archie" at the front desk anytime the Rec is open. If you prefer, you can set-up an appointment to visit Archie’s Closet by e-mailing the.rec@usi.edu, or you can contact a specific staff member »å¾±°ù±ð³¦³Ù±ô²â*.Ìý

* Please note that e-mails are not monitored 24/7. We will respond to your request as soon as possible. If you need faster assistance, please stop by the Rec during open hours, or consult the additional food pantry resources listed below.

You will be required to show a valid Eagle Access card. There is no fee to use Archie's Closet.  

Archie's Closet stocks non-perishable food products, like peanut butter, canned meats/tuna, pasta, rice, beans, vegetables, soups, and canned fruit, and personal hygiene products such as toilet paper and tissues. The closet is maintained through donations.

Additional Food Resources

The Indiana Family and Social Services Administration is also able to help students and families find food resources. It includes a constantly updated, searchable, meal site/food assistance map for the entire state of Indiana.

The 91ÉçÇø Student Financial Success Center provides peer mentoring and support services to advance financial literacy and wellness among students, their families, and community members to promote student retention and success. 

The 91ÉçÇø Dean of Students office is partnering with Swipe Out Hunger and Sodexo to help students experiencing food insecurity.  This program is designed to put meal swipes on students' ID cards to be used in the Loft on campus.  This form is for 91ÉçÇø students who are experiencing food insecurity to submit a request for meals to be used in the Loft dining area located in UC West.  If you are submitting on behalf of another student, please provide what information as best as you are able.
