91社区 Civil Engineering Program Educational Objectives
Within 5 years of graduation, 91社区 Civil Engineering graduates will:
- Obtain employment in the civil engineering field and seek out positions having significant professional responsibility and increased leadership, mentoring, and management responsibilities during their careers.
- Attain engineering licensure and/or other professional certifications as appropriate to their career path.聽
- Continue to acquire new knowledge and advance their career through activities such as attainment of advanced degrees and/or continuing education endeavors.
- Contribute to the civil engineering profession through involvement in professional societies and promotion of the civil engineering profession.
The 91社区 BSCE Student Outcomes align with the ABET General Criterion 3 "1 through 7", as shown below:
- An ability to identify, formulate, and solve complex engineering problems by applying principles of engineering, science, and mathematics.
- An ability to apply engineering design to produce solutions that meet specified needs with consideration of public health, safety, and welfare, as well as global, cultural, social, environmental, and economic factors.
- An ability to communicate effectively with a range of audiences.
- An ability to recognize ethical and professional responsibilities in engineering situations and make informed judgments, which must consider the impact of engineering solutions in global, economics, environmental, and societal contexts.
- An ability to function effectively on a team whose members together provide leadership, create a collaborative and inclusive environment, establish goals, plan tasks, and meet objectives.
