Students will be critical and creative thinkers regarding criminal justice issues.
Students will understand the criminal court process and have comprehensive knowledge of criminal law, criminal procedure, and other aspects of justice administration.
Students will understand the correctional process and have comprehensive knowledge of correctional objectives and philosophies, sentencing and correctional practices, and alternative sanctioning policies and procedures.
Students will understand the role of police in American society and have comprehensive knowledge of the interaction between economic, legal, social, and political forces and police behavior.
Students will understand the study of crime, criminals, and criminological theories.
Students will understand the research process and data analysis techniques appropriate to undergraduates in the field of criminal justice.
